In 1993, God birthed a dream. Twelve ordinary people committed themselves to be part of a new kind of church. On September 25th, 1994 - 171 people launched "Westside King's Church". After two years, we were 500. After four years, 1000. A decade later, over 2000.

How? Simple - God's grace. Taking a risk on grace, we invited people to take an honest look at themselves and who the biblical Jesus is and to experience the power of His healing grace to transform their lives. Now, hundreds have moved beyond an intrigue and fascination with words like grace, authenticity and journey and have allowed the reality of those words, the implications of those words, infiltrate their lives. Any illusions we've had of the "perfect Christian community" have long passed. It's been messy at times. But, building a community anchored on grace has been nothing short of exhilarating.

We remain humbled by God's invitation to participate as co-authors in His love story to the world. To be honest, it feels like God has only begun to write the introduction to our story. We're excited about every bump, obstacle and corner that lies ahead because we know there are flat straightaways and the occasional down hill run that make this whole journey absolutely intoxicating.
