In the past four years Global Mission has become a significant piece of the Westside Story. Since Jim Cantelon first challenged Westside with the AIDS/HIV pandemic in 2004 our partnership with Hands at Work Africa has shaped our community in far reaching ways.

Partnerships

Hands at Work In Africa

Hands at Work are a Christian non-profit organisation working in vulnerable communities across sub-Saharan Africa where HIV/AIDS, poverty and numbers of orphans are highest and support structures are very low. They help the local church in those communities to effectively care for the orphaned and vulnerable. Their ministry is to all those in need, regardless of race, class or religion. Westside has a strong partnership with Hands at Work providing them with prayer and financial support, sending teams and individual volunteers both short-term and long-term. Asian Outreach International

With a vision to effect social, spiritual and holistic change throughout Asia, Asian Outreach International President Dr. Francis Tsui is determined to see the lives and communities across Asia transform. Home to two thirds of the world’s population, there is an urgent need for change to both the physical and spiritual life in Asia. Visionledd

Jim Cantelon is the executive director of Visionledd, a Canadian charity dedicated to catalyzing strategic alliances among African churches and para-church ministries with a view to proactively combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic currently decimating an entire generation of young Africans. In His Service

JJ & Rachel are missionaries with In His Service, a missions outreach in North Africa equipping leaders for Christian service and church planting. JJ and his wife, Rachel have two kids: Shekinah Grace and Judah.

Youth with a Mission

Sean Lambert is the director of YWAM San Diego/Baja and executive director of Mission Adventures. In addition to supporting Sean, we are partnering with YWAM’s Homes of Hope program to build homes for impoverished families in Ensenada and Tijuana, Mexico.
