CELEBRATION TEAMS
Ushers
Ushers assist in the coordination of celebrations. They greet people as they enter the West Hall, find seats for people, collect the offering, and distribute materials before and after celebrations. STUDENT MINISTRIES
Jr. High
We are looking for men and women who are passionate about jr. high kids (grades 6-9); people who would be willing to serve as leaders on Friday nights 7:07-9:09, leading small groups in games, discussions, and team building activities. If you have a lot of energy and want to put it to good use, this position is for you!
Sr High
We are looking for men and women who are interested in mentoring and leading our Sr. High youth. If building relationships, deepening community and leading small group discussions out of homes interests you, then this position is for you!

PARTNER OPPORTUNITIES – HANDS AT WORK
Financial Manager
Responsibility: Oversee two organizations, Supervise five staff members, Books to Trial Balance, Financial Reporting & Contract Management, Ensure all expenses are allocated in accordance with budgets of different funders, Ensure all funders receive their financial reports timely, Prepare monthly management reports for internal use, Year-end procedures and annual audit.
Skills: B.Com Degree, 3-5 Years accounting & financial management experience of a large entity, Computer literate (Excel & Pastel essential; Pastel Payroll experience an advantage)
Volunteer Coordinator
Responsibility: Overseeing short to long term volunteers with Hands at Work. An essential piece of the vision to reach 100,000 children by 2010 is through sending out equipped volunteers to our Service Centres throughout Africa. There is a combination of pastoral care and support for the volunteers, facilitation of the orientation program, communication as well as administrative responsibilities involved.
Skills: The ideal candidates could be a couple (as both male and female mentorship is required) or single volunteers with significant cross-cultural experience, preferably including Africa. They would be mature followers of Christ and would have a heart to care for people.Strong leadership skills and a heart for pastoral care, experience in people-management, computer skills, a valid driver’s license.Time Commitment: 2 years
Building Project Manager
Responsibility: We are looking for an experienced builder who is able to lead an existing semi- skilled building team (up to 6 people) with young unskilled people from the local community joining. This position is based in South Africa, predominantly domestic building, including concreting, bricklaying, plastering, plumbing and draining, carpentry, tiling, and painting. The project is well on the way, with 600m2 of building already built and operational, a further 500m2 with plans and permits (5 additional houses).
Skills: The ideal candidate will be a Christian, experienced builder who is hardworking, enthusiastic, adaptable and patient with a heart for training and teaching building skills during the building process. The candidate must be able to coordinate the building process and teach hands-on.Time Commitment: minimum 1-2 years
IT Support
Responsibility: To administer the internal IT infrastructure of Hands at Work in Africa and Masoyi Home Based Care. This would involve assisting in using all the IT tools that are available in the MS Small Business Server suite of products for the benefit of the organisation.
Skills: Good working knowledge of MS Small Business Server, MS Exchange, MS Office, Networking
