Spiritual Formation is becoming a DEFINING VALUE for us at Westside. It’s about the challenge to step into the pattern of Jesus’ life and be formed and transformed. It is to become more like Jesus while becoming fully ourselves. Spiritual formation takes place in as many unique ways as there are people. As a result, we recognizing the need to provide a spiritual challenge for everyone regardless of starting point, background, or worship style.
Spiritual formation is about learning, but it is more than information: it is about a deepening experience of Christ and his community, and it is about how we change through a better pattern of living. We believe that the life Jesus talked about was not meant to be a frustrating teaser but a GENUINE POSSIBILITY. To this end, we are setting a course here at Westside: we want to be a community intent on learning a new way of being: the way of becoming like Jesus while each of us fully become our own unique self.
