Prayer

Via Sacra Prayer Days

dopThe Westside community has made it an annual tradition to begin each new year with days set aside for prayer. This is a sacred time we share together, a time to break from the busyness of life in order to seek quietness and space to be with God. During these days, we desire to listen to what God says, and answer back from our truest selves. We do this because we believe that prayer is both basic and necessary to the life of faith. Every year we construct a prayer walk to help focus our thoughts. During the days of January 11-13, the prayer walk is open from 9 am to 9 pm. Nightly teaching sessions are at 7:07 pm.

The Prayer Chain is an email based prayer support network.  It is specifically intended for those times when we realize our need of prayer, especially in crisis.  The volunteer prayer team promises to pray for God’s presence and healing in your life, or for those you love and are concerned for.  If you find yourself in need of confidential prayer support, please contact us at prayerrequests@wkc.org.

If you would like to serve our Westside family by taking time to confidentially pray for crisis needs in our community, contact us at prayerrequests@wkc.org.  We will want to interview you for this ministry.   All prayer team members are required to maintain confidentiality so that this ministry is truly one of prayerful intercession.
