Topic: Silence in the City
Description: In our busy, noisy lives, is it truly possible to experience silence? Why is silence, solitude and stillness so important for our spiritual formation? Henri Nouwen says “Without solitude we remain victims of our society and continue to be entangled in the illusions of the false self.” Silence is an invitation to enter more deeply into the intimacy of our relationship with God. It is a place of God’s presence, our transformation and a place of rest. Come explore scripture’s call for us to “Be Still and Know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
