Grow courses focus on helpful spiritual-formation topics. They are presented by capable instructors from our Westside community. Usual time is 7 pm to 8:30 pm on announced days.  Check for location.  For adults.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality

Tuesdays, 7 to 9 PM, in the Westside house (behind our main building)
Oct 3, 10, 17, 24 and Nov 7, 14, 21, 28 (8 weeks)
Cost: $55 for 3 resource books

Maximum 14 participants

 It is impossible to be spiritually mature, while remaining emotionally immature.”  In this course you will learn the connections between your emotional and spiritual life.  More specifically, you will learn about emotional health (the ability to be self-aware and love well), along with contemplative spirituality (slowing down to cultivate your relationship with God). Together, these two elements have the power to transform our lives towards healing, wholeness and an authentic life in Christ.  Join us on this life changing journey.

About Darcia:  Darcia and her husband Mike have attended Westside Kings Church with their family for over 15 years.  Family is her priority.  In addition Darcia has worked as a pharmacist and active volunteer in many capacities.  She enjoys golf, biking, XC skiing and travel.  She is an avid reader.  The opportunity to share EHS with others is a passion for her; she believes we all have a redeeming story to be revealed and shared.

About Debbie: Debbie graduated two years ago with a Masters in Counselling which integrated science, psychology and theology.  She works in private practice and also volunteers at the Distress Centre.  Over the last year and half she has had the opportunity to facilitate EHS.  She has a particular interest in this topic and understanding how our emotional health impacts our spiritual health, and how they come together to help individuals to love well.

Come join us as we take a deeper dive into the core ingredients required for living the authentic Christian life.

About Greg: Greg is the Ministry Director at and Ministry Partner/Author at He is also an Adjunct Professor at Ambrose University and has authored several books and written numerous articles and publications.  Greg holds a Th.M. and Ph.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary and has a passion to teach and disciple others.
