Series Intro:

"A Christian fellowship lives and exists by the intercession of its members for one another, or it collapses."
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together

Bonhoeffer asserted that Christians are never meant to see Christian community as an ideal to attain, but only as a real and actual gift we receive with thankfulness. Community is an inherently messy proposition; always incomplete, always fraught with the possibility of tension and difference, and therefore always in need of special care. Don’t look for the ideal, he said, but the real thing in which we are given the privilege of participating.

Community is more art than science, but when we get it right there is nothing like it. In this series we talk about our vision for what it means for us to be a community in Christ, to share the joy of belonging to God and each other, but also to share in the burden and responsibility of caring for the precious gift we have been given.
