Ash Wednesday is the traditional beginning to the season of Lent - the six-week journey to Easter. Christians have long sought to deepen their connection to Christ's death and resurrection by being more prayerful and aware during this season of preparation.
On Wednesday, February 14, we invite you and your family to a 45 minute event marking the beginning of the Lenten journey. We begin promptly at 6:30pm and conclude promptly at 7:15pm.
Expect a moment of worship and prayer with a brief teaching on the meaning of Lent. We complete our time with the marking of ashes - the symbol of our sin and mortality, but also the symbol of our hope in Christ's Easter triumph.
This is a family event - everyone welcome, kids included.
